As children we used to call this fruit Jumbie Calabash.

This fruit presents as a brown gourd the shape and size of a calabash.

It grows from the trunk of a very tall type of forest tree.

When the shell is broken the fruit emits a distinctive mildly pungent aromatic smell.

This aroma makes you know that you are in the forest.

By the way, imaging it's the middle of the dry season and look at how luscious and verdant (green) the foliage of these trees are... very fertile land indeed!
